SEP and México City government to convert 71 Pillars cyberschools into literacy centers

#SecretaríaDeEducaciónPública.- 71 cyber-schools of the Points of Innovation, Freedom, Art, Education and Knowledge (Pillars), will become community centers to serve more than one million people in educational backwardness in Mexico City.

This decision was the result of an agreement signed by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), through the National Institute for Adult Education (INEA), and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTEI) of Mexico City.

Through the agreement, INEA will provide the Pillars with free non-formal basic education services both in person and at a distance, which will favor the incorporation of people who do not know how to read and/or write or who have not completed their primary and/or secondary education.
